The importance of creative apprenticeships
In the creative world, it would appear that recruitment is in a state of almost permanent crisis. Yet could this be down to firms not casting their gaze wider? Michael Kosmas, founder of the NXG Group, reveals why creative apprenticeships are so important for businesses.
When companies look to recruit fresh new talent that will add value to the roster, they often look straight to university graduates, or even devise specific graduate schemes.
The reasons behind this aren’t unfounded: recruitment costs money, and each new addition is a roll of the dice, so businesses need to make sure they are taking on hard-working and talented people who they can rely on to add to the value of the company. However, people who fit the bill are not exclusively university graduates, and companies that don’t give consideration to apprentices are causing themselves to miss out.
